Guideline for Preventing COVID-19 Infection at IGAS2022

At IGAS2022, measures for preventing COVID-19 infection will be appropriately implemented in light of guidelines or equivalent specified by the Japanese government, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Big Sight, and Japan Exhibition Association. Exhibitors and visitors are asked to understand and cooperate with those measures.
Those measures are subject to change depending on the situation of COVID-19 infection. You will be informed of any change when it is made.

Specific Countermeasures by the Organizer

Wearing a mask at all times

  • Parties concerned with the organizer and the administrative office will always wear a mask, and anyone entering the venue of the exhibition will be urged to wear a mask.
  • A mask will be provided to anyone who has forgotten to bring one with them or has lost one.

Disinfection

  • Parties concerned will regularly disinfect their hands and fingers.
  • Hand sanitizers will be placed at entrances and other places.
  • High-frequency contact surfaces touched by many unspecified people and surfaces shared with others will be regularly disinfected.

Checking health conditions and measuring body temperature

  • All and every visitor will be informed that they should refrain from coming to the exhibition and will be restricted from entering its venue if they:
    have cold symptoms
    have a body temperature of 37.5 ℃ or above
    do not feel well (have a feeling of fatigue, feel dyspneic, etc.)
    have had a close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19
    have traveled to and had a close contact with any resident in any country, region, etc. which has entry restriction and a post-entry observation period requirement within the period specified by the Japanese government
  • Non-contact thermometers or equivalent will be placed at entrances to the exhibition halls to measure visitors' body temperature.

Ventilation

  • Exhibition halls will be ventilated by partially opening freight entrance doors and using air-conditioners.

Avoiding crowds

  • Floor stickers, decals, etc. indicating where people should stand will be placed at an appropriate distance where queues are expected to occur such as areas near the reception desk and entry gates.
  • Smooth entry will be facilitated by an advance registration system.
  • Seats will be placed in consideration of physical distancing in lecture and seminar rooms.
  • A thorough effort will be made to avoid crowds by reminding visitors of social distancing, etc.

Restriction on eating and drinking

  • Areas where eating and drinking are allowed will be limited to ensure infection prevention.
  • Serving and drinking alcoholic beverages in the venue is prohibited.

Gathering information on participants

  • The number of persons concerned with the organizer and the administrative office working in the exhibition halls each day will be tallied, and their list will be maintained.
  • The number and information of visitors will be obtained and managed through the advance registration system.

Settingup a first-aid office

  • People who are sick will be appropriately treated.

Recommendations

  • It is recommended to use COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application (COCOA).
  • It is recommended to use Tokyo's COVID-19 Notification and Support Service Application.

Requests to Exhibitors

  • Please wear a mask at all times in the exhibition halls.

  • Please disinfect your hands and fingers not only when entering the exhibition halls but also regularly while staying there.
  • Please place a hand sanitizer inside your booth.
  • Please regularly disinfect high-frequency contact surfaces inside your booth.

  • Please do not allow any parties concerned including your company's employees and the booth constructor's employee enter the exhibition halls if they:
    have cold symptoms
    have a body temperature of 37.5 ℃ or above
    do not feel well (have a feeling of fatigue, feel dyspneic, etc.)
    have had a close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19
    have traveled to and had a close contact with any resident in any country, region, etc. which has entry restriction and a post-entry observation period requirement within the period specified by the Japanese government
  • Please cooperate with body temperature measurement at hall entrances and freight entrances.

Measures to be taken at your Booth

  • Please have your booth's visitors disinfect their hands and fingers as required.

Avoiding crowds

  • Please lay out your booth so as to avoid crowdedness in designing your booth.
  • Please limit the number of persons running your booth in light of social distancing.
  • Please adjust advance appointments for business meetings to avoid the concentration of visitors.

Restriction on eating and drinking

  • Please limit areas where eating and drinking are allowed to ensure infection prevention.
  • Please do not offer or drink alcoholic beverages in the venue.

Gathering information on participants

  • Please maintain the list of all participants including booth representatives, employees of your booth constructor, and employees of your company's subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Please ensure that all parties concerned will be fully informed of COVID-19 countermeasures by the organizer.

  • It is recommended to use Tokyo's COVID-19 Notification and Support Service Application.

  • Please measure your body temperature by a non-contact thermometer or equivalent placed at entrances to the exhibition halls.

    do not feel well (have a feeling of fatigue, feel dyspneic, etc.)
    have had a close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19

Avoiding crowds

  • Please avoid a long business meeting under a circumstance that can cause crowdedness.

Restriction on eating and drinking

  • Please eat or drink only in recess spaces and wear a mask at all times except during a meal.
  • Drinking alcohol is prohibited inside the venue.
